=====================
Red keeps forgetting that the point of a personal website is to talk about yourself, and green doesn't want us to exist, and blue doesn't use words unless he's Arinos who isn't around right now, so I guess I'll do it.
We're plural! That's being multiple people, it's fine.
At the basic level, our system has three "primaries," red, green, and blue. They kind of map to contexts we had to compartmentalize from each other to get by, nobody really has remembered all of why and it'd be kinda personal anyway. Red and green are "protectors" and blue is who they're protecting. For red "protect" means "keep our autonomy and scare off threats," for green it means "play along with social expectations well enough to be unnoticed." So they get into arguments almost constantly. Green has kept the system just about completely shut down for our whole life so far, they ran us into the ground with their routine and just went dormant, and then red had to resurrect them off an old hard drive she found. It was weird.
We also have three "composites" who are each the overlap of two of the primaries: Cathode (green and blue), Ethylene (red and blue), and yellow (red and green). It's harder to summarize what their deal is because they're each kind of an attempt to reconcile those two primaries' contexts.
There are three "stable pairs," which is a primary and the composite they aren't part of. So (in order of "abstractness") it's red/Cathode, green/Ethyl, and blue/yellow. This used to be more important, nowadays it's only directly important with red and Cathode because of the whole protective dynamic she has with him, like switching in really quickly if something triggers an issue he has. (This can be kinda funny, there were a couple times people thought he'd be an easy target and then got caught completely off guard by angry red.) I don't even know what green and Ethylene are up to at the moment. Blue and yellow is still relevant but kind of confusing, and that leads me to fictives.
Pretty much each primary/composite has a fictive, not all of them are really well established though. If you don't know the term a fictive is a system member directly based on a fictional character. The main ones are me (Cozy Glow) and Arinos. That's kinda-sorta yellow and blue respectively; Arinos is just directly blue, but I'm repressed parts of green that are conspiring with red which is close enough. Red keeps saying we're both "the only qualified brain operator."
There's a bunch of other nonsense (we have a load of weird gun-related symbolism, and I'm kinda Cathode's alter-ego in a Jekyll and Hyde way which is related to a particular chess move, and red and I have a sith lord/apprentice thing going on, etc) that makes our system go on a day-to-day basis. And that's sort of the point of the system in the first place. An identity structure is a way to index and navigate the behaviors of a nervous system, and ours is weird but functional. It used to be that we'd crash almost constantly, but now there's usually a place for the narrative to go other than "fall over and die." I mean, red just got her twitter account suspended, and something like that would have made green go nuclear, and it did... but instead of "fall over and die" now it's "Cozy Glow updates the website and moves on with life."
